Hello Jon,
Thanks for all the hard work, wonderful job on the website.
Strings and Swings is one of my favorite all-time albums. Do you have the sheet music for the string quartet music Jimmy wrote?
Jon Raney
Thanks,
Re: Suite for Guitar Quintet.
I had the published score at one point. Not entirely sure I still have it though.

Thanks for your wonderful page.
I´m searching the score of Invitation (duo Doug/Jimmy Raney)
Jon Raney
I haven’t transcribed that or seen a public transcription. You could give it a try! I would spot check and post. I used to have more time to do transcriptions but its current job makes it hard

Dear Jon,
Is there a transcription available of your piano version of “Danny Boy” ?

Hello Eddie,
Sorry no. I started one but never finished it. If that changes I will let you know.
Best,
Jon

Hello Jon,
I am looking for some Lead sheets for tunes recorded by Jimmy Raney. I have checked all the obvious Fake Books and I have done several internet searches to no avail.
In Particular, I am looking for these tunes :
Tres Chouette
No Male for Me
Cross Your Heart
Signal
Motion
Minor
Any leads would be greatly appreciated

Hello Anthony,
My recommendation would be simply to search this way:
Jimmy Raney, {Song tile), pdf then search images. There are plenty of hits
Another recommendation which I have done is simply transcribe them yourself? As a jazz musician seems like that is pivotal to understand better and getting under your fingers.
Cross Your Heart is not Dad’s tune. it’s a Standard
No Male for Me is Brookmeyer’s tune
